I'm curious how the meeting went. On such short notice, I couldn't attend because of work. I would love to attend future meetings, if not just to meet the people in the neighborhood!
The meeting went well. Our next meeting will probably be in January. Some of the issues discussed were:
Safety -- Some cars have been broken into and some minor things have been stolen.
Drugs -- There seems to be drug activity across the street (prewar building and their parking lot).
Gangs -- Some gang activity has been witnessed across the street.
Getting our neighbors across the street involved.
The future of the former daycare -- who will be the next tenant/owner?
Parking -- It has definitely become more limited. We need to conserve space.
Bedford Atlantic Armory -- the impact it will have on our community.
Landmarks -- How it will affect our future exterior renovations.
Representation at the CB8 and the 77th Precinct meetings. I will post dates, times and location in the near future.
We need candidates for the following offices: Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary. We would like to have these offices filled, if possible, before our next meeting. If you're interested, please let us know.
