Just wondering if we want to try present some our concerns formally, on behalf of the Block association. If so, we need to try to create an agenda.
Got a ton of info from the Bergen St/Kingston Ave Block association. They meet at Brower Library on St. Marks between N.Y. and Nostrand. It appears that it may be a good site for us as well.
They have similiar concerns and issues, but are much farther ahead with their outreach of homeowners, tenants, and merchants. Their president is willing to assist us in any that would be helpful.
Also have names of more political and city officials who are willing to speak to our group about services available to us. Will put together some info for our next meeting.

I am in the state of shock at how loud that music is. I seriously can't believe that someone would/could feel so entitled to blast music so loud for so long--no matter the time of day or holiday status of the day. It is really just astonishing and I feel depressed that I feel disempowered to do anything about it but sit and wait until the music is lowered or turned off. It is moments like this I wish for rain.

Please note June 8 community board mtg at 77th Pct.
Please bring all 311 complaints, date and time filed.
Actually, I might like to use the DJ...but we certainly don't need to hear anyone's music blasting over the sound of my TV and conversation.
10PM: C-1-1-489253388 Att: Inspector Cosgrove @ 77PCT. Noise can be heard up and down the entire block.
The noise last night was ridiculous. Obviously, someone who will play their music at such decibels on a Monday night has no consideration for their neighbors and I doubt approaching them will change that as someone previously suggested. These people are rude and cavalier.
The only way to deal with this ongoing situation is to continue to involve 311, the 77th precinct and attending the CB8 and the monthly Community Affairs meeting @ the 77th precinct. This month's meeting is on June 8th @ 7:30 p.m. (Commissioner Ray Kelly will be the guest speaker).
