This is Urgent! DHS remains intent on pushing through its plan. It's up to each and every one of us to stop this.

Call the elected officials listed below and, tell them to:

“Stop the intake center from coming to the Bedford Atlantic armory shelter in Brooklyn..It’s bad for the homeless, bad for our communities and bad for New York City.

Some other suggestions we have had for more things you can say:

"The vast majority of homeless men are in Manhattan. The Bedford Atlantic Armory Shelter is in the most oversaturated community in Brooklyn. Do not allow the Atlantic Armory to be used as a dumping ground. "

You can say" The homeless in Manhattan are terrified of the Atlantic Armory; they will not go there willingly. There is a good reason why police are posted inside. They would prefer to stay on the streets even in winter than to come over to Brooklyn. And there is no hospital close by to help them in Brooklyn."

Or say what you wish to say in your own words. It only takes a sentence. You can call once for each voting member of your family.
